PACKAGE TOUR 2 DAY/1 NIGHT (PT209)
Floating Market – Hua Hin/Petchaburi
Description
- DAY 1
- 08:00 Pickup from your hotel in Bangkok and travel to Damnoen Saduak Floating Market which is located about 100km southwest of Bangkok in the Thai province of Ratchaburi. There are several floating markets with Damnoen Saduak Floating Market being the most popular and provides visitors with a distinctive shopping and cultural experience that takes place on and around the waterways.
- You will take a ride in a paddle boat which is a great way to explore the floating market. Paddle boats are the ideal vehicle to navigate the busy waterways, allowing you to get a closer look at the colorful waterside market stalls and other passing boats and also engage with the traders. You will experience the dynamic atmosphere of the floating market with traders selling fruits, vegetables, foods, drinks, crafts and souvenirs from their boats and riverside stalls.
- After the floating market you will travel to the Mae Klong Train Umbrella Market which is also called the Talat Rom Hup. The famous Mae Klong Train Umbrella Market is unique and is well known for its market location which is directly on operating train tracks. The fact that a train travels directly along the tracks where the vendors have set up their stalls numerous times each day is what makes this market so extraordinary. In order to make room for the approaching train the sellers quickly pull back their awnings, fold their umbrellas and move their wares out of the way. They promptly continue their operations and put their stalls back in their original locations after the train has passed. Fresh produce, fish, meats, vegetables, fruits, spices, snacks and regional goods are all available at this market. Additionally, visitors can purchase local handicrafts, clothing and souvenirs. The Mae Klong Train Umbrella Market has a lively ambiance and is located in a busy and dynamic setting.
- Lunch at local restaurant.
- After lunch you will travel to the town of Hua Hin where you will first visit Khao Takiab Hua Hin which is a mountainous hill situated at the southern end of Hua Hin. Khao Takiab Hua Hin is located only 4km from the town of Hua Hin and visitors can walk up the hilltop to enjoy a bird’s eye view of Hua Hin and the surrounding countryside. Khao Takiab Hua Hin offers delightful views of the local area and there is a temple called Wat Khao Takiab situated at the top of the mound. At Wat Khao Takiab you will discover a beautiful giant golden Buddha statue which has become a landmark of Khao Takiab and Hua Hin.
- After Khao Takiab Hua Hin you will then have time to relax at Hua Hin Beach. Hua Hin Beach is 8km long and is known for its clean and fine sand which is set against the turquoise waters of the Gulf of Thailand.
- After Hua Hin Beach you will visit the Hua Hin Night Market where you can browse the many different stalls offering handicrafts, souvenirs, local foods and clothing items and where you can eat dinner in a local restaurant. After dinner you will be taken to your Hua Hin hotel.
- Stay overnight in Hua Hin hotel/guesthouse.
- DAY 2

- After Hua Hin Railway Station you will then travel to Puek Tian Beach in Petchaburi province. Puek Tian Beach is a quaint, quiet, white sandy beach which is famous for the statues of the characters from Phra Aphai Mani (an epic poem composed by Thai poet Sunthon Phu). At Puek Tian Beach you can observe the statues of Nang Phisuea Samudra (sea ogress) and Nang Ngueak (mermaid) as well as the main character Phra Aphai Mani and also other statues of a giant turtle and a Chinese goddess Kuan Yin.
- Lunch at local restaurant.
- After lunch you will travel to Phra Nakhon Khiri (Khao Wang) which is a historical park near Petchaburi. Phra Nakhon Khiri consists of 3 building groups on 3 peaks upon a local 95m high hill. There is a palace located on the western peak and a royal temple called Wat Phra Kaew (which is built in similar style to the Grand palace in Bangkok) located on the eastern peak and a giant chedi called Phra That Chom Phet which is located on the middle peak. Phra Nakhon Khiri combines outstanding views of these lofty regal structures and the surrounding countryside with a peaceful ambience.
- After Phra Nakhon Khiri you will then travel to Khao Luang Cave (Tham Khao Luang) which is a stunning natural attraction located in Petchaburi province. Tham Khao Luang is known for its impressive limestone formations and the way natural light filters through openings in the ceiling, illuminating the cave’s interior and creating a mystical atmosphere. Within Tham Khao Luang you will find a large number of Buddha statues and various religious artifacts making it a place of worship for many locals. The main chamber of the cave houses a large golden Buddha statue and the rays of sunlight hitting the statue create a dramatic and beautiful effect that has drawn photographers and travelers from around the world.
